Kanto Plains Baptist Church Nursery
Classroom info: nursery (6wks-24mo), toddler (2-3 years)
Welcome, we are glad you are here today! Our nursery program is here to provide all children with a loving, safe, and nurturing environment as they learn about God’s word. Below are a few guidelines for utilizing our nursery services.
When you arrive:
-Please sign your child in on the sign in/out sheet and let the nursery volunteers know if there are any special information today for your child. Example: What time they will need a bottle, if they are toilet training, etc.
-Bring your child in and remove their shoes.
-Please clean their hands with hand sanitizer provided to reduce the spread of germs
During nursery time:
-If your child is upset and cannot be soothed, a nursery helper will come to get you.
-Your child will participate in a Bible lesson and sing songs (2-3 year old room).
-Your child will also have time for free play. A short Christian video may be shown (Veggie Tales), or the children may go outside to play.
-One serving of cheerios/goldfish and water may be served. Sippy cups are welcome.
-Only parents or siblings (with parent approval) will be allowed to pick up their children. -Please sign your child out upon pick-up.
-We ask that no outside snacks be brought in, unless there is an allergy or food sensitivity. -Please label all items being left in the nursery (diaper bags, sippy cups, etc.)
Sick child policy
-If your child has been sick or running a fever, please refrain from using the nursery until they have been fever free (without medication) for at least 24 hours and/or on antibiotics for 48 hours. It is advised to follow your physician’s guidelines as to when your child is no longer contagious to others before returning.
-If your child has had a communicable illness and has unknowingly attended the nursery, please let the nursery directory know as soon as possible so we can notify others and clean appropriately (examples: hand foot mouth, chicken pox, flu, stomach virus, lice, etc).
Thank you for using our nursery program! If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our nursery director in person, or at firstname.lastname@example.org. Our nursery is run on a volunteer basis only, please consider taking a turn in this area of ministry.
